Gate Bushing Maintenance:

• Clean gate area after each production run using brass brush (never steel)
• Check gate diameter monthly - wear of 0.05mm+ can cause flash
• Polish gate surface when flow marks appear
• Replace bushings when gate wear exceeds 0.1mm

Nozzle Care:

• Inspect nozzle tip for damage before each mold setup
• Clean nozzle tip with copper wire brush while hot
• Check nozzle alignment with sprue bushing - misalignment causes drool
• Apply anti-seize compound on nozzle threads (max 350C rated)

Common Problems:

• Drooling: check nozzle tip temperature and back pressure
• Stringing: adjust nozzle retract timing
• Gate blush: reduce injection speed at gate switch point

Scheduled maintenance every 500 hours keeps your hot runner reliable.
