Comparing die casting and investment casting:

Die Casting: High volume, 0.1-0.5mm tolerance, 80,000-150,000 shot die life. Best for aluminum and zinc.
Investment Casting: Lower volume, 0.3-0.8mm tolerance, ceramic mold. Best for complex geometries and steel parts.

Cost: Die casting is cheaper per part at high volumes (>10K/year). Investment casting wins for low volume or complex shapes.
