      Water-Based Release Agents

      • Pros: Non-flammable, environmentally friendly, low VOC
      • Cons: Slower evaporation, longer spray-to-close time
      • Best for: General injection molding, molds under 100 degrees C
      • Tip: Pre-heat mold to 60-80 degrees C before spraying

      Solvent-Based Release Agents

      • Pros: Fast evaporation, excellent wetting on complex geometries
      • Cons: Flammable, VOC compliance needed, higher cost per application
      • Best for: Deep-draw parts, high-temperature molds, critical surface finish
      • Tip: Ensure adequate ventilation during application

      Dry Film (PTFE/MoS2) Release Agents

      • Pros: Multiple-release coating (5-20 shots per application), no transfer to parts
      • Cons: Requires clean mold surface, periodic reapplication
      • Best for: High-production runs, rubber molding, structural foam
      • Tip: Apply by misting not soaking
